Set off on an eight-day adventure through Romania, beginning and ending in Bucharest. Wander past grand communist landmarks and the lively Old Town before heading into Transylvania’s storybook landscapes. Along the way, you’ll stroll Sibiu’s historic squares, explore the vast Alba Iulia fortress, and descend into the spectacular Turda Salt Mine. In Maramureș, meet warm-hearted locals and discover UNESCO-listed wooden churches, while medieval Sighișoara and charming Viscri reveal village traditions. Round off the journey with a tour of Dracula’s Bran Castle and the regal Peles Castle in Sinaia. A perfect mix of history, culture and breathtaking scenery awaits.

- An arrival airport transfer is included either the morning the tour begins or the day before - we recommend you arrive the day before your tour starts. Your Romania Tour begins in Bucharest, where our guide will meet you at 9:00 for a city tour. Bucharest is a fascinating blend of Western and Eastern European cultures, with the lasting imprint of the communist era still visible. We start with the Palace of the Parliament – also known as the House of the People – the second largest administrative building in the world after the Pentagon. As we walk through its marble halls, your guide will share the striking history behind its construction. Our tour continues in Bucharest’s Old Town, home to historic buildings and vibrant nightlife. Its lively atmosphere offers the perfect introduction to the city. At the end of the day, we transfer to the hotel. Please note: We recommend you arrive in Bucharest the day before your tour starts. The tour will begin at 9:00 on day 1.
